Information Access Classes are used internally by the Warnen Repository to categorize information based on whom should be able to access it. While the Repository has a strict ban against permanent redaction of, or disposal of information, necessary restrictions on varying degrees of information is a crucial element of the Repository's structure. Severe punishments are reserved for individuals illegitimately accessing information they do not have permissions for. Information Access Classes are not applicable to civilians with no relation to the Repository. In general, civilians are categorized under a need-to-know knowledge basis, meaning that they are presented information crucially necessary to their current situations and nothing more. This precaution is in effect to protect the Repository from local law enforcement efforts. Alongside their descriptions, the Information Access Classes also include a shorthand learning method known as the Door Analogy. The Door Analogy presents the question of, "If someone is knocking on your front door, what would you likely due given the information you have?" It is intended to showcase the degree of information each class provides.
Access Class I
Information categorized as Class I generally provides knowledge on the immediate effects of the phenomena and very little more than that.
If there is knocking on the door, they will open the door.
Access Class II
If there is knocking on the door, they will check the peephole.
Access Class III
If there is knocking on the door, they will count the knocks.
Access Class IV
If there is knocking on the door, they will arm themselves.
Access Class V
If there is knocking on the door, they will not open the door.
