The Wiki started off as a little idea I had after learning about the RPC Authority. The RPC Authority was a spin off wiki from the SCP Foundation Wiki, with very similar tropes. So I thought, "why can't I do something like that?" So I started messaging my cousin on Discord about how we should do something like that. We eventually agreed on calling it "The SAP Organization". We initially only planned for it to be on a Discord server. We had only 4 Danger Classes. (We called them classes instead of levels back then). And all went silent for awhile. Until one day, my cousin messaged me, saying, "I think I have something". He proceeded to show me a video of a tall, bald humanoid creature sucking the fluid out of a sleeping woman's spine. You know, tane stuff. And then he explained how he was going to create an SAP File for it. And thus, SAP-007 was born. He typed it out in the Discord server but did not receive the image now associated with it. I later gave it that image. Moments later, I typed out my own. SAP-013 "the Leech Boy". Then came the conundrum. The conundrum only I was concerned about, I should add. Technically speaking, I typed out my File first, but put it onto discord after his. So which was actually the first one? I decided SAP-007 should be, simply because I thought it was a better concept for "the First SAP" then a harmless little boy who lives off blood.
Time passed and I put out another file and my cousin gave a concept and said he'd work on it. During this (long) time of waiting, I grew restless. I created SAP-010 but something felt… Sour. I felt unsatisfied. Not with the file, that unsatisfaction would come later, but with the so-called wiki. I then searched for something, anything, until I found a writing app. A Writing App in which you could collaborate on projects together with someone else. And so we used that. Using the files as the articles themselves and again, time passed. With little activity from my cousin.
I grew restless… again.
So I searched.. after many attempts to find a wiki app, I eventually settled on…..
Google Docs.
I saw somewhere that you could turn a Google doc into a wiki and so I did that. I was pretty content for a while… Except with the links. For those who don't know, Google docs has this annoying thing where every link has a "link preview" basically, you have to press every link twice. Which got very irritating.
So, eventually, in a restless and reckless decision, I bit the bullet and created an account on Wikidot. Why didn't I do this sooner? You're probably asking. Because I'm stupid and didn't know that Gmail is basically email. Don't ask. After I did, though, my eyes were opened and I saw the greatness that was Wikidot. A bit confused by it's code at first, I quickly learned and grew, and wonderful it was.
