Use this page as a means by which Wikidot users can join your site. Allowing other users to join is especially important for wikis and education sites, as members would have editing rights over the casual viewer. If your site is a blog or private site, then there may not be a need for people to become members, and hence you can of course delete this page.
Below the line is a sample join page.
Note! Joining the Standard Template website does not create a site! To create your site, visit the home page and click on Get Started!
Who can join?
You do not need to be a member to view the site, but joining provides benefits such as regular email alerts with news about significant site additions and updates, and will also let you log in and contribute by editing and adding content in order to enrich the overall site in a collaborative way.
How do I join?
There are three steps you need to complete to join our site and begin contributing.
First you need to register and create a user account with Wikidot. Next, when logged in to Wikidot, come back to this site and continue reading.
Registering with Wikidot
If you are interested in applying to join this site, then you first need to register for a Wikidot account. Wikidot is the service used to create and power this website.
If you already have a Wikidot account, then please login using the 'login' link at the top of the page, and then return to this page and click the button above.
If you do not already have a Wikidot account, then you can begin registration by clicking the 'create a new account' link above. The registration process will involve providing a valid email address that a verification code can be sent to. Once you have this code, follow the link in the email to enter the code and complete your Wikidot registration. When you have registered and logged in, please return to this page.
Join the Site
In order to apply you must have registered with Wikidot, and be logged in.
Application
Due to several inactive members, this Site's membership has become more closed. All wikidot users attempting to apply to be a member here must answer 4 questions within their application message. The message must be sent privately to the Site Administrator Director Erzahler. If not every question is answered, the message will be denied.
The application must include:
- Your age (be truthful)
- Your reason for why you want to be a member
- What you plan on doing here.
And
- If you're applying because you want to write here, what type of genre do you plan to write most often?
Usually, an application will be answered within 24 hours, though most likely less. And all applying users are expected to have read the Site Rules. User's will be given a message if they've been denied explaining why they've been denied. Users who've been accepted will be given a welcome message and a link to a page containing the join button. (Note: if the join button doesn't appear immediately, refresh the page.)
The first thing you'll want to do is read the Site Rules, assuming you've already read the introduction and know the basis of the fictional universe. After thoroughly reading the rules and agreeing to abide by them, you'll then want to go to the membership page and submit a private message to the Master Admin answering all the questions for application. After you do this, you'll be given a link to a page with the join button. Press it and you're a member. After this, you are encouraged to then introduce yourself in the New Creators forum thread and join the discord in the contact page if one so desires.
