SAP-116 is a unique marine megafaunal organism estimated to be approximately 770 meters in length. SAP-116 possesses an elongated body resembling priapulid worms, appearing to belong to the extinct genus Ottoia, a species of achaeopriapulid worms from the Cambrian period. Although the species of SAP-116 is known, there is no knowledge of its internal structure. The possibility of incursions into SAP-116 is considered highly dangerous.
SAP-116 appears to exhibit sedentary behavior, remaining fixed in its current location. Generally, SAP-116 does not react to external factors and rarely shows interest in objects or organisms around it. Much of SAP-116's behavioral patterns remain unknown, including its feeding and reproductive habits, if it possesses any.
Surrounding SAP-116, various predator species are often found, seemingly attracted to the entity. SAP-116 appears to emit some form of psychic force that draws these predators near, apparently to protect itself from potentially harmful species, such as parasites. The true extent of SAP-116's psychic abilities remains unknown, but these seem to be "primitive" and "weak."
From its proboscis, SAP-116 expels an organic substance with a thick texture and chemically unknown behavior. Visually, it resembles petroleum. This substance is designated SAP-116-1 and is produced randomly. SAP-116-1 dissolves within hours of being expelled.
SAP-116-1 is a spatiotemporal anomaly yet to be understood. Entering SAP-116-1 appears to cause temporal displacement of the matter into an unknown time period and, conversely, brings objects or organisms from those times to the present. This phenomenon does not seem to be limited to SAP-116's current location and appears to affect various areas around the globe. SAP-116-1 and its surroundings are inhabited by multiple organisms, most belonging to the fossil record and others unidentified. These organisms are designated as SAP-116-2.

SAP-116-2 specimens belong to various taxa and groups of animals or plants, some exhibiting anomalous characteristics. Generally, these organisms tend to move away from SAP-116 and spread throughout the surrounding area. SAP-116 is usually indifferent toward these entities, with few instances of interaction and rarely preying on them. The latter has only been recorded on three separate occasions involving the following species: Basilosaurus, Shonisaurus, and Parapusozia.

Due to the size of SAP-116, it is currently impossible for the Repository to contain it. Because of this, the Repository is tasked with monitoring the marine area where SAP-116 resides. The Repository also oversees and monitors SAP-116-2 instances, capturing them to prevent incidents with civilians and to study the specimens.

In 1990, twenty years after SAP-116 was discovered and its habitat began to be constantly monitored, the first noticeable movements of SAP-116 were reported. These movements consisted of slight contractions by SAP-116 before it suddenly emerged from its burrow and surfaced above sea level. Following this, SAP-116 began moving from its original location, traveling more than 50 kilometers to a new, more remote area, where it created a new burrow and concealed itself.
During these events, the psychic waves emitted by SAP-116 intensified and were perceived by every sapient being within a 6-kilometer radius. These signals were mentally processed as a female voice, presumed to be that of SAP-116 itself. SAP-116 continuously transmitted the following messages:

Fear.
Too much. Too many voices.
Mind. It hurts.
Stop.
Please.

It is currently theorized that SAP-116 reacted this way due to the presence of Repository personnel in its original location. SAP-116 appears to be a telepathically sensitive entity, capable of perceiving the consciousness of multiple sapient organisms around it. This sensitivity seems to have caused significant stress, prompting it to relocate to a new area. This stress also acted as an amplifier of its psychic abilities, allowing its signals to be perceived over a greater range and translated by the minds of sapient beings.
Since its relocation, SAP-116 has been reluctant to leave its burrow or produce SAP-116-1. This behavior persisted for several months until SAP-116 eventually resumed its normal activities.
Control and containment protocols related to SAP-116 are under review. Measures are now in place to avoid approaching SAP-116 to prevent causing it further stress. The "words" emitted by SAP-116 during the event remain under investigation.
