Description:
SAP-028 appears to be a cloak of an unknown material similar in texture to wool or fur, but completely black, with no evidence of dye. SAP-028's anomalous properties activate when a humanoid, anomalous or otherwise, puts SAP-028 on and loosely fastens the tie around the neck. If the wearer pulls the hood over his or her's head, they then appear to vanish, leaving behind a cloud of black smoke or mist that quickly dissipates. The wearer will then be transported to a pocket dimension wherein all that can be observed is blackness. Many describe the feeling of nothingness is heavy here. Some have described seeing white eyes in the blackness that appear to watch or observe them. All have claimed to feel uneasy in this dimension (see Addendum-028-1)
If the wearer, within the dimension, walks in any direction, then proceeds to remove the hood, they will find themselves back in their dimension, but in an entirely different location within it. This can be miles from where they initials put the hood on, or simply a few feet. The reasons behind this are unknown. Though, it is theorized that in this "Shadow" dimension, a single yard could translate to much more or much less than in our dimension.
Aftermath Protocols:
SAP-028 is to be contained within a standard, low-threat Anomalous object chamber, draped over a mannequin. Only to be used by high ranking ATAs or those with permission from the current Site Director.

As of Incident-028-2, SAP-028 is to no longer be used by personnel under any circumstances.

Addendum-028-1;
TEST 1:
Placement of SAP-028 on Test Subject.
Subject places SAP-028 on and dons hood. Subject vanishes and reappears approximately 3 minutes later in the woods 3 miles west of Site-13. Subject reports feeling a sense of being lost while within the dimension.
TEST 2:
Placement of SAP-028 on a mannequin.
SAP-028 is placed on a wooden mannequin and the hood is thrown over it's head. Mannequin crumbles into burnt wood. No further results.
TEST 3:
Placement of SAP-028 on ATA.
Agent places SAP-028 upon himself and dons the hood. Agent. 2 minutes later reappearing in the cafeteria of Site-13. Agent claims he had been hungry while testing SAP-028 and had not eaten lunch that day.
TEST 4:
Placement of SAP-028 on Researcher Daniel Loyd.
Researcher Loyd dons SAP-028 and places the hood over his head. Reappearing several seconds after behind one of the observing personnel.
it's pretty simple, really. Just have a clear understanding of where you want to end up while you're in there, and once you take off the hood, you'll be there.

Incident-028-2
During testing of SAP-028 on an Anomalously Trained Agent, the Agent did not return for an extended period of time, prompting concern from the observing researchers. The Agent returned roughly 40 minutes after donning SAP-028 and was covered in claw marks. The marks oozed a black tarry substance that quickly spread through the wounds, causing advanced decomposition.
Agent claimed he had been intending to remove the hood after a few moments, intending to reappear in the break room. But he became transfixed by a pair of glowing white eyes staring back at him in the darkness. He couldn't say how long he had been there, staring at it, before a large, black, vaguely canine entity with piercing white eyes lunged at him and attacked him. Shortly after, reappearing in the testing chamber.
The Agent expired 28 hours after the incident, as the unidentified, toxic substance made it's way into his bloodstream, causing severe cardial scarring and eventually cardiac arrest, followed by death.
